Just a heads up to all my Ellerbe Road Estates Neighbors. If you haven’t checked your front door recently, you probably have not gotten the survey from ERENA (Ellerbe Road Estate Neighborhood Association) asking for information about the status of your mineral rights as regards the Haynesville Shale formation.

Please take the time to give them the information they are trying to gather. I have heard that over 80% of the homeowners in the neighborhood leased their rights a few years back for a couple hundred dollar signing bonus. I hope that is not the case, because there is strength in numbers in the negotiation process with the oil and gas companies.

ERENA is asking everyone in the neighborhood to respond by Monday and let them know their status. They will then begin negotiations for all interested parties to lease the minerals beneath our homes.
